Job Description

We’re looking for a Learning and Development Manager to join our team at SYNLAB UK. In this role, you’ll have the chance to shape impactful training experiences, support our people’s growth, and contribute to the broader development of our organisation. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the business, bringing your expertise to design and deliver meaningful learning opportunities that drive real change.

Your role will be central to delivering our L&D strategy, developing skills at all levels, and embedding key competencies into our day-to-day operations. With a hybrid work model, you’ll spend time at our Southwark office, work from home, and visit other UK sites as needed. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and values building strong relationships while making a difference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and lead workshops focused on management, leadership, and personal development, ensuring these sessions are practical and drive real improvement.
  • Provide 1:1 feedback and group coaching using psychometric tools and 360-degree reviews, helping colleagues apply insights for personal growth.
  • Design engaging digital content for our LMS that resonates with our teams and is fit for purpose.
  • Measure the success of learning programmes, using feedback and data to highlight impact and areas for improvement.
  • Support new managers as they step into their roles, giving them the tools and guidance they need to succeed.
  • Embed our leadership competencies into everyday business practices, including appraisals and development plans.
  • Work closely with managers to help them develop their teams through career coaching and support pathways.
  • Oversee and support the L&D Administrator as part of your team.
