To support our growing business Magdalene are on the lookout fora Senior Quantity Surveyorto be part of our Magdalene Utilities Delivery Teamin the UK.
You will ideally be based in either Coventry or Cambridgeshire. Your role will be to provide end to end commercial management and control of all projects within your area of responsibility. This role will support operational delivery by driving contract margin through maximising value and minimising cost, provide key commercial and contractual advice to our operational team to mitigate risks whilstmaximisingopportunity and ensure we have effective management account procedures to support business critical reporting and decision making.
This role fits within Magdalenes Contract Delivery teamand will work collaboratively with the Operational Teams and Senior Management.
Who are we?
Magdaleneoperates as a Telecommunication Infrastructure Services Companyand ispart of the Telecom Division of M Group Services.Covering the full network lifecycle, we deliverManaged Services and Projects for both fixed and mobile infrastructure networks across the operator and utility markets.
Whatwill your key responsibilities be?
Supplier management within the contract
Contract administration including issuing of appropriate contractual notices
Maximise margin through effective commercial controls
Minimise inefficiency through effective risk management and cost control
Provide critical commercial support to the operational project teams and PMO
Management accounts and reporting
Any other commercial management activity required
What competencies are we looking for?
Degree qualified Quantity Surveyor or relevant experience
Ability to prioritise workload and meet key deadlines in a pressurised, target driven environment, whilst maintaining a customer focused ethos
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
Able to work independently and in a team based environment to achieve programme targets
Demonstrable willingness to be flexible and be adaptable to changing priorities
Telecoms experience is desirable but not essential subject to the candidate demonstrating experience in the responsibilities outlined above
