Junior Derivatives Lawyer

We are partnering with a key player in the investment banking arena who provides products and services across the commodities and financial markets. With business areas covering metals, energy and other commodities trading, as well as quantitative investment strategies, this global business services a range of institutional clients which encompass large corporates, trading houses, funds and sovereign entities. We are looking for a junior lawyer, ideally with a background in private practice (either currently or in the past) who will act as primary legal cover for the FX and commodity trading desks, which serve a range of clients, including many private equity funds.The successful candidate will also supervise and sign-off of derivative negotiations undertaken by the UK negotiation team as well as take a more direct role on other matters, including finance-linked hedging.If you have a legal background in derivatives documentation and wish to occupy a role that has supervisory elements, visibility, responsibility and the chance to actively work on transactional matters outside of ‘standard’ master agreements negotiation, then please do reach out ASAP.
