Project Controller

Project Controller Location: Capenhurst, Chester Rate: £65-£75 umbrella Duration: 12 months initially Urenco Limited is seeking a Project Controller to join the Group Projects, Project Support team. The Project Controller will be responsible for providing effective and efficient project controls support to assigned projects. This role requires ensuring that projects accurately report their current progress, spend, and commitment against their approved project baseline, in line with group project management procedures. The role involves interface with multiple stakeholders, including internal and external customers, necessitating the ability to travel to various Urenco Group locations up to 50% of the time. The Project Controller will work autonomously, often remotely from their line manager, and must adapt to different environments and cultures. Key responsibilities include monitoring and controlling project schedules, costs, risks, and changes, producing regular reports, and ensuring compliance with Urenco’s policies and procedures. The role also emphasizes promoting a pro-active safety culture, ensuring accurate earned value reporting, and contributing to the continuous improvement of project policies and procedures. Skills: Ability to convert project requirements into a logically linked schedule of activities Knowledge of planning processes, procedures, and best practices Proficient in Earned Value Analysis Excellent analytical skills and high numeracy Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) Experience working with multi-cultural teams Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills Ability to work flexibly within project demands Strong communication and collaborative working skills Capability to work independently with minimal supervision Software/Tools: Primavera P6 Microsoft Project MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) Certifications & Standards: Project Management Qualification such as APM or PMI Degree in a relevant discipline Project Controller
