The role Part time role available – 18.13 hours – pattern to be agreed at interview. Salary shown is full time equivalent. You will be supporting a service that deals with queries around Aids and Adaptations needed by customers (vast majority are tenants) to support them to live at home more independently. Enquiries will come from across the business, Local Authorities and directly from customers, so strong communication skills will be key. The team work in an agile manner, so this will be a mix of home and office based working. This role is part of Customer & Communities where you'll help us to lead the way keeping our promise to more than 100,000 customers. What you'll achieve You will deal with contractors to ensure works are done, and proactively signpost customers to other Health and Wellbeing services (such as BetterDays) to support them accordingly. You will also look at options and work with other services to relocate some of our customers to other more suitable homes where there is a need. You will be able to work on your own initiative and take responsibility to ensure projects and work is done. To be a clear point of contact for any initial Aids and Adaptation requests / enquiries. Referring customers to Occupational Therapists in applying for Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG) via Local Authorities, following up DFG applications and processing outcomes. Speaking with customers and assessing them for falls and referring them to the Health and Wellbeing team where appropriate for interventions such as Falls Prevention courses. Understanding the Aids and Adaptations options available to customers, including Assistive Technology, and referring customers for the most relevant option. Helping to determine the Social Value of the work done by contacting customers and seeking a response to how they feel pre and post work done. What you'll bring Essential skills · Strong communication skills both written and verbal · Excellent numeracy and literacy skills · Good IT skills in particular working knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM systems · Exceptionally customer orientated and detail focused and demonstrates a passion for delivering consistently good customer outcomes · Experience / background of working with vulnerable people · Capable of successful partnership working with remote-based teams and contractors, to deliver optimum performance · Good team player Desirable skills Experience of working for a Housing Association Experience of working with Aids and Adaptations or Assistive TechnologyWhy Orbit?
