This will involve: Working closely with students on a 1:1 or small group basis to provide tailored support. Assisting with lesson preparation and delivery, adapting materials and activities as needed. Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers and parents. Encouraging student participation and engagement in classroom activities. Promoting independence and self-advocacy in students. Key Qualities: A genuine empathy and understanding of the unique challenges faced by students with SEND. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues. A patient and adaptable approach, with the ability to adjust support strategies as required. A strong commitment to professional development and continued learning in the field of SEND. Experience working with students with SEND in a secondary school setting is desirable.
