Legal Intern Location: London, Victoria or Newcastle Contract: Initially 6 months - Extension subject to performance Salary: up to £28,000 subject to experience Shift Pattern: Mon- Fri 09:00-18:00 Holidays: 29 days including bank holidays Start Date: Immediate Verisure is seeking a talented, innovative, passionate Legal Intern to join our growing and successful Legal team within the UK organisation. The role will report to the Head of Legal UK and will work closely with the UK Commercial counsel and functions (including Sales, Marketing, finance, operations and Human resources) as well as the Group Legal team. The primary focus will be on supporting the legal team on data protection and GDPR tasks and initiatives, and provide administrative support within the legal team. Duties & Responsibilities Support the Legal team on all departmental initiatives to support the business and accelerate growth, including but not limited to: Conducting legal research and reporting on findings Maintain and update department contract repository Support the operations teams with initial enquiries Support the Commercial Counsel and Head of Legal on cross functional enquiries as they arise Provide general administrative support Review promotional material Escalating matters as necessary Experience and Qualifications University Law degree + LPC or equivalent legal professional qualification Prior experience working in-house in a commercial/ corporate legal team is desirable but not essential Work collaboratively across various areas of business expertise: coordination and communication skills. Collaborative working is key!
