Exciting opportunity alert! Join a leading procurement business specializing in innovative services for the foodservice and hospitality industries. As a Category Manager, you’ll oversee a significant spend area in either Hot Beverages or BWS Categories. Shape strategies and drive growth for key clients in these dynamic sectors.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop relationships with key suppliers that promote efficient ways of working with an innovative and strategic approach.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure continuity of goods and services meet the quality, service, and price required.
- Full awareness of market trends identifying opportunities to develop ranges and excite our customers.
- Ensure a safe supply chain for employees, clients, and consumers.
- Retention activities related to categories, suppliers, and products within assigned portfolios.
Candidates will need the following:
- Strong Category procurement or National Account Management experience within the Hot Beverage or BWS categories
- Experience of complex supplier, distributor and client management
- Strong decision maker, with good commercial acumen who is comfortable working under pressure
- Solid analytical skills, with an ability to manage and interpret data to make effective decisions
- A collaborative team player that brings people together to deliver results
- Strategic thinker who can demonstrate impact and influence across an organisation
- A “Can Do” attitude to resolve issues and take learnings to drive ongoing continuous improvement
The role offers a couple of days a week working from home, but candidates should live within a reasonable commute of the office in Central London.
