Deputy Managing Director Based in the greater Manchester area, this appointment represents an exciting opportunity to join a mature SME who enjoy an enviable reputation and a global reach. Their need is now to appoint a deputy MD with a broad suite of complementary skills through which to develop a high performing commercial business team. The appointed individual will have the opportunity to influence and design their own future by taking the business through a sustained period of profitable growth, leading to participation in a potential MBO/MBI in the short to medium term. The Deputy Managing Director will be financially trained, possibly ACMA, commercially astute and with a developed sense of business ‘nous’. We expect a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in the engineering/manufacturing industry, ideally at management board level within a SME. The appointee will relish the opportunity to further develop a commercially focused team through which to drive and support the manufacturing team towards increased financial performance and customer satisfaction. This is considered fundamental to the future success of the business. The mandate for the Deputy Managing Director is to support the Managing Director and to provide the strong leadership necessary to deliver margin and EBITDA improvement. The continued growth of the business through the development of complementary markets while delighting all customers are also key reporting metrics.
