Class 2 Refuse Driver

M4 Specialist are currently recruiting for Class 2 Refuse Drivers to work out of St Philips, Bristol. Hours of work 39 hours per week; Hours: 6.00/7.00 am till 14:15/15.15 pm Pay £15.25 - £16.67 Key Responsibilities To drive/operate vehicles and equipment in accordance with company safety procedures and legal requirements. As required by the company in accordance with the valid license, experience and training for that vehicle/equipment. Responsible for ensuring route completion and tasks are completed to the Companys required standards Tipping of vehicle at designated and approved refuse facility and to load and unload waste materials in accordance with the Companys policy, procedures, training and legal requirements, complying with all health and safety requirements To use mobile IT equipment and to complete daily paperwork as appropriate Undertake any training/instruction required to carry out these duties and deemed necessary to fulfil the role Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of vehicles and equipment to a high standard, including daily vehicle checks on any vehicle driven To deal with colleagues, customers and other external personnel in a polite, responsible and professional manner To remain in contact with Supervisors and office staff, be responsive to operational needs and to aid commercial growth through close relationships with sales staff and reporting back any opportunities for growth To work flexibly between locations to provide operational cover across the services of Commercial, Garden Waste, Refuse and Recycling and to carry out all other tasks deemed reasonable To comply with all Company reporting procedures Requirements Must hold an LGV Cat C (HGV2) licence and CPC and Digital Drivers Card Experience or ability to undertake regular vehicle checks including oil, water and battery levels Experience or ability to demonstrate suitability for physical work involving pushing/pulling waste bins and lifting recycling boxes up to 25kg The ability to understand and complete daily defect sheets Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills The ability to work independently and to use own initiative The ability to work well within a small team The ability to use IT systems Demonstrable flexible approach to work assignments Special requirements There may be a requirement to work at other company locations May be required to work a number of bank holidays and Saturdays after the bank holidays Expected to work reasonable overtime in line with the needs of the service, which may include a Saturday morning on a rota basis To work in all weathers Drive daily for up to nine hours per day, taking official breaks following the working time directive If you are available and looking to start work immediately please either apply by following the prompts or if you would to discuss the role further please contact Jordan (07738728976) at M4 Specialist.
