Estimator- rc frame contractor

About the company- My client is a national, privately owned business with a turnover of close to £150 m per annum. They specialise in several key areas and are making huge gains across the UK. With successful businesses in groundworks, reinforced concrete structures and rail civils contracting they are going from strength to strength and have built a recognised brand where your efforts will be rewarded and long term future secure. About the role- I am looking for an experienced and successful Estimator to join the rc frame contracting team. It is essential you have particular experience in this sector and also experience in groundworks frame contracting will be a definite bonus. You will be working on schemes around Manchester and the North West predominantly and will be based in an office in Manchester city centre. Typically in the reinforced concrete business you'll be working on schemes of between a couple of million pounds and 50 million pounds with the average around 10 million. These are a mixture of commercial, residential and retail schemes. You may also occasionally work on tenders for groundworks and rail civils projects. This is a real chance to widen your portfolio. As mentioned before the schemes at predominantly concrete and you will be working closely with the Estimating Director- this could lead to promotion very quickly for the successful applicant. Rewards and remuneration- The daily rate on this role will be between £350 and £450 plus expenses- travel, parking etc. with room for negotiation for exceptional candidates. There are also salaried roles available if preferred. My client does like to promote from within and this could happen within time for those candidates proving themselves in these challenging markets. Requirements- You'll have either a Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering degree or vocational qualification along with at least 2-3 years experience in rc frames/groundworks. You will also be able to work in a team or alone and have the confidence in your own ability to make positive commercial decisions on a daily basis.
