Financial Controller Location: Tipton Days Permanent: Full time, office-based Salary: £52,000 per annum with review after 6 months Join a family-run business with a history spanning over 10 years, in their pursuit to provide the largest selection of vehicle tyres for distribution in the UK and Europe. Partnering with leading manufacturers they offer customers more choice than ever before with customer-care, reliability and high service levels at every turn.Your role as a Financial Controller will involve ensuring that the organisation meets its financial requirements and providing accurate and timely information to directors to support effective business decisions for the company. Key Responsibilities of the Financial Controller: Coach, motivate and mentor all members of the finance team ensuring they are doing their role effectively and efficiently.Once a week meeting with staff to review workload and priorities.Review oversees credit control and debt management.Oversee sales and purchase ledgersJournal postingsBank Reconciliations for all company accounts.Review of costs for business.Accruals and Prepayments checksEnsure the timely preparation and submission of the quarterly VAT and PVA returns, making sure all submissions comply with the specified deadlines.Assisting with Year End Accounts and AuditFixed Asset MaintenanceAssisting with profitability analysisForeign currency reconciliationsCash forecasting for rolling 3 monthsReconciliation of Factoring Accounts for invoice and cash uploadsRun stock valuations and analyseImprovements of processes and schedules for accounting recordsProduce monthly management accountsEnsure that the monthly reporting pack provides the information for the business to make effective decisionsPrepare annual financial statements Produce financial forecasts as required by banks etcMaintain Asset and depreciation schedules The ideal Financial Controller:Proven experience in a Financial Controller role or similar Experience using various accounting packages – Tyresoft accounting package knowledge would be an advantage Qualified, part-qualified, or Qualified by Experience (QBE) in finance or accounting.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulationsStrong leadership and team management abilities.Attention to detail and high level of accuracyExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsTo show your interest in this role, please Apply Now with a copy of your CV.
