HGV2 Refuse Driver

My Client is URGENTLY looking for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join their team on an on-going basis, this is to start ASAP!

Duties include:

• To undertake waste/recycling collection duties and other related duties within the waste and cleansing services, under the direction of the Supervisor and Waste Services Manager
• To be responsible for the collection team members, the safe operation of the vehicle and the completion of the daily collection rounds
• To take charge and be responsible for the vehicle and the collection team, and to ensure the completion of the daily work allocated
• To undertake refuse, recycling or green waste collection as directed and other related waste service operations in accordance with the adopted schedules, procedures and policies
• To undertake the collection/emptying, loading and distribution of sacks, wheeled bins, or other containers as appropriate, from the curtilage (boundary) of the property or other agreed location
• To undertake the collection of bulky waste, clinical waste or other types of waste, as may be required
• Monday to Friday - 07:15am start

Requirements:

• HGV and current clean driving licence (speeding points will be discussed) and up to date CPC
• Basic Standard English and Maths
• Basic Computer Skills (required to operate in cab tablet)
• Good Knowledge of Health and Safety
• Sound experience of using HGV within last 6 months
• Previous experience of working outdoors in all weathers

These are long term, temporary roles for a very busy client, with an immediate start. There is also the opportunity for these to go permanent.
