Hays Specialist Recruitment are delighted to be working with an established Third Sector organisation which has been in operation in Northern Ireland for over 50 years. This organisation has a physical presence in many of our towns and cities across Northern Ireland, having steadily expanded their services to the public over the past 50 years.To ensure their properties and estate are maintained and improved, this organisation are seeking an estates professional to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
Based from Newtownards, Antrim or Portadown you will join an experienced team where you will report to the Director of Business Support.The primary responsibilities of this role are to ensure all properties are suitable for operational needs. This will include managing the planned preventative maintenance programme, coordinating reactive maintenance, and playing a key part in managing building projects. You will also be a point of contact for this organisation's leased property and have responsibility for all tenant related issues such as statutory compliance and lease renewals.Within this role you will be the appointed person for RIDDOR reporting to HSE NI, have responsibility for ensuring Health & Safety policy and practices are in line with current legislation and are being adhered to by undertaking inspections, reporting accidents, and providing advice to staff.
What you'll need to succeed
To be eligible for this role you will need to meet the following criteria:Degree or Level 5 Diploma in a relevant property/building related subject and have recent relevant experience of working in a property/estates role.You must also be able to demonstrate experience of managing projects from inception to completion.Experience of representing an organisation to a range of external organisations and producing written reports.An understanding and operational experience of Health and Safety management &/or NEBOSH qualified. A NEBOSH qualification would be desirable but not essential.Full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle suitable for duties and requirements of this role.

The salary would be pro rata accordingly.A mileage allowance is payable for the use of a private vehicle on company business.
