We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Account Manager to join our team. Covering the London and South East Region, the Account Manager will be responsible for establishing and nurturing strategic, long-term relationships with architects, designers and main contractors in order to drive new business and secure projects.  The aim will be to influence design decisions early in the project lifecycle to ensure Radii Planet Group products are specified and maintained through to project completion.


Duties and Responsibilities


• Pro-actively gain appointments with Architects and Specifiers to present the products and services offered by the Company.

• Carry out research to identify potential new clients and actively pursue new clientele opportunities.

• Position the product & brand selection accordingly with Architects and Specifiers and promote the Groups products and services with confidence and commitment.

• Analyse client requirements on projects to prepare appropriate strategies and design solutions.

• Produce proposals to clients working with the various internal departments to develop Stage 3 design development (design & commercial). Oversee the specification's journey from concept through to installation.

• Respond to all incoming architect enquiries in a quick and efficient manner, at least within 24 hours.

• Engage with divisional Stage 4 bid teams to influence new business and secure projects.

• Organize and deliver CPDs (Continuing Professional Development) to educate and update architects on new products, technologies, and regulatory changes.

• Arrange and attend social events (which can take place out of normal working hours) and represent the company in a professional and respectable manner.

• Optimize the sales process using data-driven approaches, including effective CRM system use to track and manage client interactions and sales opportunities.

• Develop and manage client “Key & Target” accounts.

• Forecast sales volumes and achieve and exceed volume sales targets.

• Always ensure client satisfaction, ensuring issues are resolved in order to achieve repeat business, and ensure long term client relationships.

• Ensure any client details are maintained and are accurate on the client database.

• Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge and passion for Radii Planet Group products and services.

• Maintain knowledge of competitor products.

• Ensure that all administration tasks are carried out in a timely, accurate and legible manner and that the prospect database is up to date and accurate in its content

• Ensure knowledge and awareness of individual roles and responsibilities under the Company’s quality, health and safety and environmental management systems.

• Ensure knowledge and understanding of the Company’s policies and procedures in relation to confidentiality and data protection legislation, reporting any concerns to an appropriate person.

• Work without supervision and demonstrate a commitment to own personal development within the role

Person Specification


• Proven track record in interior fit-out sales or similar.

• Strong relationship building skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels both externally and internally whilst maintaining a professional approach.

• Customer-Centric Approach with a demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional service throughout the project lifecycle.

• Ability to contribute to industry publications or speak at industry events regarding architectural trends.

• Excellent negotiating skills with strong commercial sense.

• Excellent analytical, problem solving/decision making skills with the ability to make effective decisions.

• Excellent communications skills.

• Good organisational skills.

• Self-motivated and able to use initiative.

• Ability to work without supervision.

• Ability to demonstrate a commitment to own personal development within the role.

• An interest in the business.


Qualifications


The following are required:


• Experience in product sales

• Experience in architectural software tools such as AutoCAD or Revit would be advantageous.

• Experience of managing budgets and plans

• IT skills

Working Environment and Hours 


• Hybrid Working. Offices are based in Burgess Hill, West Sussex, and Canary Wharf.

• 9:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Thursday, and 9:00am to 5:00pm on Friday (with a one-hour lunch break each day).
