Maintenance Engineer

Maintenance Engineer Location: Leicester Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 Job Type: Permanent Hours of Work: 4 on 4 off (Days and Nights) Engineering @ 365 is currently working with a market-leading company based in Leicester, recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer on a permanent basis. Job Description: As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our client’s facilities and equipment. You will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and systems to minimise downtime and maintain optimal productivity. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on machinery, equipment, and systems to identify and address potential issues before they escalate. * Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and other technical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment. * Perform repairs, adjustments, and replacements of faulty components to restore equipment functionality. * Respond promptly to breakdowns and equipment failures to minimise downtime and ensure rapid resolution. * Collaborate with production and operations teams to prioritise maintenance tasks and minimise disruptions to production schedules. * Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, maintenance logs, and equipment history. * Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment and machinery as needed. * Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for all employees. Requirements: * Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. * Electrical qualifications such as 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. * Proven experience working as a Maintenance Engineer or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial environment. * Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with proficiency in troubleshooting and repair techniques. * Familiarity with preventive maintenance software and maintenance management systems. * Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environments. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. * Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
