Senior Technical Underwriter

Your new companyOne of the largest MGA's in the UK, based in the heart of the City that specialises in SME to mid-market Property & Casualty business. They have fantastic relationships with their panel of brokers and put their clients at the centre of their Underwriting strategy.After several years of positive performance, this company is now looking to add a Senior Technical Underwriter to their existing business team within the London office on a hybrid working basis.Your new roleDuties & responsibilities:Provide underwriting support to the wider team through individual referralsTaking ownership of large and complex risk underwritingProvide underwriting guidance to the business in respect of Binding Authorities with carriersProviding technical underwriting input into the development and performance of the underwriting systemActing within agreed underwriting authoritiesWhat you'll need to succeed10+ Years of Underwriting Property or Commercial businessExperience working in an MGA or with delegated authorityIn depth technical knowledge of policy wordings, covers, rating and underwriting features across a broad range of Commercial exposuresExperience of underwriting at a portfolio levelExperience in managing broker relationshipsAbility to work in fast-paced environmentConfidence to communicate with stakeholders, both internal and external up to a senior levelWhat you'll get in returnSalary: Up to £90,000 (Experience dependent)Annual discretionary bonusComprehensive benefits packageWhat you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career.
