What you'll be doing:


Reporting to our CISO, we are looking for a Security Operations engineer to contribute towards the creation of cyber security solutions for enterprise, mid-size and small business customers.


The role requires you to have both technical and business skills as you will be responsible for engaging directly with customers and ensuring their requirements are understood and then converted into supportable solutions.


The role will require frequent site visits to our UK customer base (a majority of these are in London and the South East), and bi-monthly visits to our Hitchin offices. Additionally, you will need to participate in our out of hours on-call rota as an escalation point.


Some examples of day-to-day activities include, but are not limited to:


  • 3rd Line Security Escalations
  • Service Requests
  • Subject Access Requests
  • ACL Reviews
  • Security Authority Change Sign off
  • Security Awareness Training Management
  • Cyber Security Audit and Assessment Reports
  • Customer Cyber Security Questionnaires
  • BAU Log/Event/SOC Reviews


What we're looking for:


  • Recognised Cyber Security Qualification (CompTIA, Microsoft, CISCO, ISC2 etc)
  • Knowledge of the UK Cyber Essential certification Scheme
  • Knowledge of cyber security (threats, remediation, best practise)
  • Working experience with monitoring systems, and an understanding of monitoring best practices
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
