Production Operative

Acorn by Synergie are looking for Production Operatives on a permanent basis on behalf of their client, a major manufacturing company located in Wigan, WN3

The company offer modern working facilities, a friendly working environment and genuine opportunities for progression

Hours of work are 4 on 4 off comprising of 2 x 12 hour days followed by 2 x 12 hour nights 7-7

The hourly rate starts at 12.20 and increases to 12.44 per hour after 3 months service on site

Duties will include:

Conduct and improve line setup and changeovers
Consistently ensure optimum food safety, including correct segregation of allergens
Ensure safe working practice whilst maintaining CCP and PPE compliance
Assist with shift handovers and team briefs ensuring maximum efficiency and communication
Monitor business waste, and compile and implement solutions to reduce waste
General housekeeping

The ideal candidate will:

Have previous manufacturing / machine operation experience
Understand food hygiene and HACCP standards
Have strong problem-solving skills
Be comfortable working within time constraints and able to meet deadlines
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Be able to work within different areas (as per business needs)
Have a hands-on, can-do attitude
Have worked a 4 on 4 off shift pattern previously
