We currently have 2 exciting opportunities within Nationwide Platforms as a Technical Trainer. As Technical Trainer you will be working with the External Training team. As a Technical Trainer you will be responsible for technical skills development covering Nationwide Platforms fleet, specifically MEWP's, Truck and Van Mounted equipment, Tracked Booms and BlueSky products for engineers in the UK and occasionally internationally. Frequent travel is involved (approximately three days each week) and dependent on home location may including overnight stays. The engineering side of the business is highly reactive, so a flexible, adaptable, resilient character is essential for this role. Key Responsibilities: You will be developed to be able to teach and deliver the following engineering-based courses(but not limited to): Pre-Delivery/Post-Hire Inspection Foundation Courses Tech Electrics Tech Hydraulics Tech Schematics Tech Engine Tech Inspection - Pre-Delivery/Post-Hire Inspection Advanced Fault Finding: Electrical systems, Hydraulic systems Accreditation for Manufacturer Training Courses Development and maintenance of courseware ensuring it stays current Delivery of a minimum of 100 Training Days in a full calendar year (face to face, virtual and online). Additional development and stakeholder consultancy days will be agreed and measured Be an ambassador for the company with high integrity, respect for others. A role model for safe working and uncompromising standards, drives QHSE compliance, embeds behavioural safety Project manage the completion of small training programmes Plan and execute Train the Trainer (TtT) sessions where applicable Prepare training with risk assessments for classroom and practical facilities Conduct tests/assessments to required standard with accurate, legible completion of all relevant paperwork Undertake training courses as requested and work towards relevant qualifications e.g. NVQ Assessor qualifications, CAP, manufacturer qualifications where applicable Qualifications/Experience As part of this job role the company will provide training and qualification to Level 3 Education and Training (PTLLS), so there is a requirement for the role holder to complete all necessary development activities, formal and informal and to play a highly active role in attaining the qualification. This will form part of your career journey and upon successful qualification as an IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) Instructor, the seniority level for the role will be moved from Band 3 to Band 4.
