Python Backend Engineer (8-Month Contract, Outside IR35)Key Details:Contract Length: 8 monthsRate: £450 - £600 per dayLocation: RemoteIR35 Status: Outside IR35We are seeking an experienced Python Backend Engineer to join our team on an 8-month contract. You will be working on exciting projects for a fast-growing digital platform in the automotive industry, contributing to the development of scalable, high-performance backend systems. This contract offers a competitive daily rate and the flexibility of working outside IR35.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain robust backend services using Python, ensuring high performance and scalability.Build, deploy, and manage RESTful APIs and microservices that integrate with frontend applications and other systems.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend engineers and product managers, to deliver impactful features and improvements.Optimize database performance and queries, working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.Implement automated testing, monitoring, and debugging tools to ensure smooth operations.Contribute to backend architecture design, making sure the solutions are secure, reliable, and scalable.Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and team discussions to foster continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.What We're Looking For:Proven experience as a Backend Engineer with expertise in Python.Strong understanding of building and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.Experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and optimizing data storage and retrieval.Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, including deploying and managing services.Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth deployments.Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on writing clean, testable, and maintainable code.Ability to work in an agile environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.Excellent communication skills and a proactive, collaborative attitude.
