Infrastructure Lead

Infrastructure Lead/Manager Are you ready to take charge of a dynamic and fast-paced IT environment? Our client is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Manager to oversee and manage their critical infrastructure, including servers, Hyper-V, communications hardware/software, firewalls, switches, SANs, IT security, and monitoring. You will also lead and mentor one additional IT staff Duties : Microsoft Technologies: Manage and administer Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, WSUS, WDS, and Exchange. Networking Equipment: Install, configure, and maintain core networking equipment (switches, routers). Cybersecurity: Identify and address cybersecurity risks, configure and maintain firewalls. Infrastructure Security: Oversee antivirus, vulnerability scanning, pen testing, Windows Firewall, patching, web and email filtering. Virtualisation and SAN: Manage and configure virtualized environments and SAN. Server Infrastructure: Install and maintain server infrastructure, including hardware maintenance and server patching. Third-Party Support: Collaborate with third-party suppliers to support all systems. Backup Management: Manage daily, weekly, and monthly backup cycles. Cloud Services: Administer Azure (AAD, functions, apps, VMs). Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation. Application Support: Provide application support as needed. Qualifications: Experience: 5+ years in a similar role. Technical Qualifications: Azure AZ104, Microsoft 365, CCNA. Security Qualifications: Security+ / SSCP (beneficial). Essential Skills: Virtualisation: Proficiency in Hyper-V. Firewall Management: Rule/policy creation, NAT, VPN configuration. Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, IPSEC, VLANs, switching, WiFi, routing, LAN, WAN. Operating Systems: In-depth knowledge of Windows Server, Windows 10/11. Active Directory: Thorough knowledge of Active Directory and Domain Controllers. Problem-Solving: Tenacious and pragmatic problem-solving skills. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Our client has over 500 employees.
