Sales Estimator

Sales Estimator Location: Leighton Buzzard Salary: Circa £35k - £45k This is an office-based role for a Sales Estimator with knowledge / experience in CNC Machining to be on-site in Leighton Buzzard. A Manufacturing company who specialises in components for Aerospace, F1, O&G, and Defence are looking for a Sales Estimator to join their team. Purpose of Role – Sales Estimator You will: * Be responsible for providing technical estimates for incoming work, liaising closely with customers, suppliers, and our production team, to ensure accurate estimates are provided. * Plan precision machining operations, produce quotations to deadlines and understand and identify the best methods of manufacture. * Receive, review and reply to Customer RFQ’s and their engineering drawings. * Producing quotations to deadlines – estimating all machining, materials, and inspection times for in-house elements and incorporate externally sourced elements such as sub-contract when applicable. * Understand and identify machining methods of manufacture and select accurate cycle times (CNC Turning & Boring experience a distinct advantage) Candidate requirements – Sales Estimator This role would suit an experienced Sales Estimator, or previously experienced CNC machinist, who is looking for a new challenge in an office environment who apply their excellent IT skills and experience into a customer focused role. You will ideally have the following skills, qualifications and experience: * Extensive experience within precision engineering is required with extensive knowledge of machine capabilities / machining practices * Ability to read and translate technical drawings is essential. * Accuracy and attention to detail is key to success. * Computer literacy is essential. * An excellent working knowledge of the mechanical engineering LER (SG) Ltd are acting as a 3rd party on behalf of our client.
