We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Technician to support the LYCRA production at The LYCRA Company Maydown Site. Responsibilities Theexecutionofbothroutine andcomplextaskswithinOperationsincluding: Operating and managing a wide range of equipment and technology as part of a productionfocusedteam. Maintaining the operation within given specifications, using computer-based control systemsandrespondingtoprocessvariance. Validatingqualityrequirements. Maintainingahighstandardof equipmentandworkarea cleanliness. Essential 2 GCSEsatminimumgradeC(orequivalent)whichmustincludeEnglish. Demonstratedexperienceofapplyingcriticalthinking/analyticalskillstodefineandresolveproblems. Demonstrated ability to work in a safe and compliant manner by following all policies andpractices. Strongteam-workingskills,withabilitytoapplyinitiativeandflexibilitytomeetbusinessneeds. Excellentplanning,organisationandcommunicationskills(verbalandwritten). Successful applicants, who must be 18 years of age or over by 16th October 2024, will normallybe required to work full rotating 12-hour shift patterns (nights and days), averaging 42 hours perweek. Right to Work in the UK. Desirable 3 GCSEs at minimum grade C (or equivalent). Previous12monthsrelevantproductionexperience. Have completed a Modern Engineering Apprenticeship or HNC in an engineering/science relateddiscipline,orequivalent. A GCSE in a Science-based subject at minimum grade C (or equivalent). The above criteria may be further enhanced to shortlist for interview.
