Your new company I am excited to be partnering with Lotus Cars in their search for an Organisational Development Director for their UK manufacturing plant in Hethel, Norfolk.Group Lotus is a leading sports car manufacturer with a 75-year 75-year-long history of iconic designs, groundbreaking engineering, and legendary victories on the F1 track. Today they are transforming into a truly global performance car brand focused on the electrical future. The Norfolk site produces all sportscars types, such as the Emira and the Evija. By 2026, Lotus will produce three more all-electric lifestyle models that change the game!The OD Director will be responsible for leading and overseeing initiatives that enhance organisational effectiveness and employee engagement. You'll work closely with senior leadership and Lotus Executives to develop and implement strategies that align with Lotus' goals and values and deliver our Vision80 strategy and beyond. You will drive high performance and USLot Values and Behaviour's.Your new role As part of the Lotus team, you'll push boundaries! You'll bring people together and embed a high-performance culture. The role has 3 direct reports and the site headcount is 1000. You'll be responsible for the following areas: Strategic planning, Talent Development and Performance, Employee Experience - Culture and Engagement, Talent Acquisition, Change Management and Transformation and Collaboration/Communication.An inspirational leader, you'll develop and execute long-term OD strategies aligned with the Lotus vision and mission, supporting HR operations with long-term workforce planning and collaborating with executive leadership to identify areas for organisational improvement and growth. You'll also look to develop their performance strategy and system to ensure best practice performance management supports effective business strategy delivery and achieves its target.With full budget responsibility, you'll develop and deliver the annual HR OD strategic plan and enable delivery of HR analytics to help shape and drive business strategy. Partner with HR Operations to identify talent gaps and succession planning strategies, support best in class Early Careers, develop and deliver resource plans through effective recruitment processes and provide coaching and support to senior leaders to strengthen leadership capabilities.Creating a positive employee experience is imperative. You'll foster and drive the Lotus ROAD culture, Respect, One Team, Ambition and Drive, support best in class diversity and inclusion and wellness initiatives and work with your team to develop strategies to enhance employee engagement, retention, and satisfaction. The OD Director will also work closely with the HRD Operations and their team to ensure alignment and integration of OD initiatives, foster and support continuous improvement within OD and across the organisation, stay updated on industry trends and raise the profile of Lotus.What you'll need to succeed Please note, only applicants with automotive and/or Tier 1 automotive sector experience will be considered.EssentialAutomotive and/or Tier 1 automotive sector experience is essentialBachelor's degree in Organisational Development, HR, Business Admin or related fieldProven experience in organisational development and change management/ transformation in a rapidly moving industry sector / organisationExtensive experience with HR technologies, ideally SAP Success FactorsStrong leadership and project management skillsExcellent communication, facilitation and interpersonal skillsAbility to analyse data, identify trends and make data-driven recommendationsFamiliar with OD methodologies, assessment tools and performance metricsKnowledge of legal requirements for OD, recruitment, diversity and peopleDesirableMasters level qualificationInternational experienceWork experience in listed companiesAdditional specialist certificate e.g. Coaching, Assessment, Organisation Design, Strategic Workforce planning, HR Analytics Leadership CapabilitiesManufacturing, project driving industrial experienceWhat you'll get in return You'll ideally be onsite at least 3 days per week but other hybrid arrangements may be considered.
