Head of Engagement - Synergy Programme £75,000 - £85,000, plus great benefits including 28.97% employer pension contributions. Your choice of: Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Pontypridd, Sheffield We are recruiting a Head of Engagement for the Synergy Programme, a significant cross-government transformation programme. You will lead a programme of strategic communications, reporting directly to the SRO and Programme Director. You'll helping to shift mindsets and associated ways of working to land significant cultural transformation at all levels. You will be leading and coordinating Synergy communications from the centre, with lose links into the Cabinet Office and Treasury. You will work with communication partners across the four departments and with our strategic partners and suppliers to ensure a clear, coherent and consistent narrative that describes our transformation journey and ambitions. You'll also lead the response to any requests for further information and clarity as the Programme progresses. You will provide empowering leadership and strategic direction to lead a small, skilled team to provide a high-quality, timely and accurate communications. The Synergy Programme The Synergy Programme is a step change in how we'll deliver corporate functions across Ministry of Justice, Home Office, DEFRA and DWP, which together make up almost half of the civil service. ? Essential Criteria Experience of leading communications teams, in a fast paced and complex programme or change management environment, to deliver strategic communications that maximise engagement, change adoption and acceptance (Lead criteria) Being a visible, senior leader, helping to shape an innovative, inclusive culture that champions continuous improvement and development Ability to influence and challenge assumptions in an assertive yet constructive way across a multi-stakeholder environment, working collaboratively and in partnership with senior delivery partners, suppliers, and clients to deliver programme priorities Demonstrable experience of working in a large, complex organisation with a range of senior stakeholders at board and/or Ministerial level (or equivalent) including preparing briefings for senior managers or officials.
