Our client is renowned for their comprehensive vehicle services, including storage, inspection, maintenance, dispatch, and transportation. Job Details:

  • Position: Team Leader
  • Type: Permanent Annualised Contract (Average of 40 hours per week)
  • Working Hours: Weekly shift rotation of 06.00am-2.00pm/ 2.00pm-10.00pm
  • Weekend Working:Flexibility is required as weekend work IS a requirement of the client as they manufacture vehicles 24/7, the shifts on a Saturday and Sunday are 6.00am to 6.00pm and staff predominantly work one of the days every other weekend. However, if we complete the daily volume early, we do send you home but must be available for the full shift.
  • Salary: £15.65 per hour

About the role?

Working under the supervision and co-ordination of the Site Manager, you will be required to ensure all tasks are carried out efficiently by providing leadership, guidance, training and support to the team, whilst adhering to Client s KPI s.

Key responsibilities of the Role:

Leadership and Direction:

  • Provide overall direction and leadership within the
  • Pre-Delivery Inspection Area and Storage compound

Provide Team Environment:

  • Provide a team environment with a strong emphasis on 2-way communication and opportunity for involvement by all employees

Health & Safety:

  • Execute Health and Safety Regulations focusing on accident prevention
  • Resolve any safety issues and ensure proper housekeeping is maintained at all times
  • Follow ISO procedures
  • Maintain quality standards in respect of PPE

Supervision of Day-to-day workloads:

  • Supervise day to day work ensuring that quality standards are met by providing the relevant training and guidance for subordinates
  • To ensure all paperwork is completed, updated and files appropriately
  • Ensuring that each work station is adequately covered and output targets are maintained

The primary function of this role operates outdoors in a large automotive compound facility. Its associated duties are conducted in varying weather conditions throughout the year (PPE is provided to support such tasks). As you will be expected to store and transport vehicles in an outdoor logistics facility which also involves moderate amounts of general walking throughout the working day.

About you?

  • To be successful, you must be over 25 years old, possess a valid driver s license with fewer than 6 penalty points, and have no DR10 offenses for insurance purposes.
  • To succeed in this role, candidates must be able to work the specified shift times above.
  • To succeed in this role, you will need to pass an onsite drivers assessment and a pre-employment drug & alcohol test prior to starting.
  • The ideal candidate will have previous experience within an automotive / logistics Industry.
  • The ideal candidate will have previous experience of leading a Team.
  • The ideal candidate will have a level headed approach. This is required when driving vehicles to ensure the safety of yourself & your colleagues.
  • The ideal candidate will a understanding health and safety and cooperate with managers to comply with Health & Safety regulations.
