The Role:
In this hands-on position, you will be responsible for testing, diagnosing, and repairing returned electronic devices using advanced automatic and manual test systems to ensure they meet required standards. You will play a crucial role in supporting the company's continued growth by ensuring high-quality output in an engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test, diagnose and repair electronic devices to company specifications.
- Accurately record and repair details and track orders to support process improvement and cycle time reduction.
- Disassemble, reassemble and prepare devices for testing, as well as perform hardware reconfiguration where necessary.
- Provide constructive feedback to engineering and management teams on technical and quality issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team performance and service delivery.
- Perform maintenance and calibration checks on test systems.
What We're Looking For:
- Extensive experience in testing, diagnosing and repairing electronic devices in a production or test environment.
- Knowledge of fault-finding techniques and experience with equipment such as oscilloscopes and multi-meters.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, customer specifications, and rework instructions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- A self-motivated, team-oriented individual who can work with minimal supervision and take ownership of tasks.
- A recognised qualification in electronics engineering.
- Familiarity with IPC Standards.
