Tradewind is a leading recruitment agency in education, and we are thrilled to be partnering with a forward-thinking secondary school in Sheffield to recruit a dynamic PE Teacher to join their team in September 2024. About the Role: As a PE Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the physical education curriculum and inspiring students to lead active, healthy lifestyles. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, engaging students in a variety of sports and physical activities, and promoting the importance of physical fitness. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the PE curriculum, excellent classroom management skills, and a passion for motivating students to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and effective PE lessons that cater to a range of abilities. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported. Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that inspire students to participate in physical education. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support where needed. Contribute to the wider school community by leading extracurricular sports activities and events. Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during PE lessons and activities. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field. Experience teaching PE at the secondary level, ideally within the UK education system. Strong knowledge of the national PE curriculum and assessment standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
