We are seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Solicitor with between 3-5 years of post-qualification experience, to join our client, a prestigious and internationally renowned law firm with an exceptional reputation in the media, entertainment, and technology sectors. The firm is trusted by an impressive roster of high-profile clients, from global media corporations to cutting-edge technology innovators. The Data Protection Practice At the core of our client’s offering is a highly specialised and well-regarded data protection practice. The team advises on all aspects of data privacy and compliance, guiding clients through the intricacies of UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act, and cross-border data issues. The practice is deeply embedded within the firm’s wider media and technology offering, ensuring clients benefit from comprehensive, commercially focused advice. From regulatory compliance to high-stakes litigation, this team tackles some of the most significant data protection matters across the media, advertising, sports, and technology sectors. The Opportunity This role offers an outstanding opportunity to work alongside market-leading professionals within a forward-thinking, collaborative environment. As a key member of the data protection team, you will advise clients with the development and exploitation of new technology and data, helping organisations navigate cybersecurity, AI, data protection and privacy issues, ranging from data breach response procedures, binding corporate rules applications, Data Privacy Framework certification, impact assessments, and compliance projects with legislation such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Act. The Candidate Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 3-5 years of PQE, with a strong background in data protection law. Experience working in a Top 100 ranked law firm. Experience advising clients within the media, technology, or entertainment sectors is advantageous, though not essential. Demonstrable ability to provide practical, solutions-driven advice in a fast-paced environment.
