Agile Technical Project Manager Looking to work on innovative software R&D projects from cradle to grave? We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager with a background in software and ‘New Product Introduction’ to join a new PMO function as they continue to grow. About the company: As the leading manufacturer within their field, they are globally recognized as being the best-selling brand for their well esteemed product. They have a ‘Tech in Wales first policy’, ensuring all development is based in South Wales; this includes R&D, software development and electronics engineering. As they have an end product, we’re looking for a similar background which includes liaising with stakeholders in a true Agile environment. About the role: Working alongside the Product Director, you will be responsible for the delivery of full ‘Go to Market’ plan and some more strategic projects too. This is a collaborative role where you will support the firmware team, the software team and the UX team; ensuring the teams are motivated and kept in the loop at all times. This requirement is more on the senior side, you’ll need to hit the road running and be comfortable working autonomously. The team are working in a true Agile environment so the Technical Project Manager will be well versed with an Agile way of working.Someone from a Waterfall background wouldn’t be quite right. About you: As an experienced Project Manager with a background in delivering a product (electronics, manufacturing or medical device/pharmaceutical products are ideal but we’re happy with any physical product experience) A background in working with overseas teams is a huge bonus. As this is a Technical Project Manager role, you will have an understanding of the SDLC and a background in working with software teams, UX/UI teams and ideally mobile app and cloud teams. If you’ve worked with firmware, embedded and electronics teams, that’s a big plus. Communication is at the forefront of the Project Manager’s day-to-day, so you will be well versed in in stakeholder management as well as planning and project estimation techniques. Ideally you’ll be based in the South Wales area; the office is based in Caerphilly and this role requires regular face time in the office. Interested?
