Tax Assistant / Semi Senior

Due to growth, we have an opportunity role for a Tax Assistant / Semi Senior to join our accounts team in Portsmouth. Working closely with the Partner and Associate Partners, your role will be managing the personal and corporate tax process for a portfolio of clients. Key responsibilities of a Tax Assistant / Semi Senior will include: managing the personal tax process for a portfolio of clients, including sending out mailings, ITQR's and following up reviewing corporation tax returns capital gains tax returns personal tax returns completing VAT registrations assisting on tax projects by collating information, completing forms and other documentation with individual/company information preparing and filing statutory documentation for companies liaising with HM Revenue and Customs and other third parties as required About you We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience: 3 years+ experience within an accountancy practice specifically with tax experience ideally ATT Qualified looking to continue with CTA studies previous tax planning experience would be beneficial confident with all Microsoft office packages experience of CCH and Xero would be beneficial but not mandatory system driven, dedicated and willing to learn able to reflect and take constructive feedback personable and confident talking to team and clients Full benefits available for the Tax Assistant / Semi Senior : study support package for ATT / CTA pension scheme group life assurance x 4 salary birthday day off opportunity to purchase additional holiday days quarterly functions and events car parking access to our employee benefits portal – cashback and vouchers on everyday purchases employee Assistance Programme employee Referral Bonus – we're always looking for talented individuals to join our team regular training and development - continuous development and support not only for your professional qualifications but also for your personal goals and aspirations About us TC Group is growing and changing at quite a pace!
