- You'll support, and work inpartnership with the first line of defence and businesses inapplying effective risk management, and anticipating and assessingthe potential impacts of risk across thebank
- This high profile role will see youliaising closely with a range of stakeholders, creating anopportunity to develop your network and raise your profile acrossthe bank
You'll support withthe delivery of risk management initiatives that support theeffective application of the operational risk framework and conductrisk obligations, with an opportunity to improve the understandingand effective management of risk across thebank.
We'll look to you tosupport the business in managing the risks which exist, making suremechanisms are in place to identify, report, manage and mitigaterisk within a defined risk appetite, working in conjunction withthe second line ofdefence.
Day-to-day, you'llbe:
- Delivering theinterrogation and analysis of relevant management information,supporting effective risk management on the part of yourstakeholders
- Analysing transaction details andmetrics to help identify gaps and inform decision making onremediation
- Developing guidance notes andtraining material and content, up-skilling the broader first lineof defence function and businesses
- Supportingmanagement in facilitating regular stakeholder meetings and keyforums through the preparation and issuing of supporting paperworkand assessing regulatory impacts
- Building andmaintaining trusted working partnerships across the bank and ourfranchises, to inform and gather intelligence on emerging andfuture risks andcontrols
To besuccessful in this role, you'll need to be highly analytical andthorough in your approach to end to end delivery. You'll also needexcellent communication skills in order to convey any concerns, andhave the ability to negotiate with, and influence, stakeholdersacross the bank.
It'll be anadvantage if you have experience with fixed income and/or FXproducts, as will be experience working with Trading and Sales.We'll also consider it beneficial if you understand product risksand pricing, along with knowledge of the regulatory environment andthe practical ability to understand the nomenclature relatedTrading and Salescommunications.
