Teaching Assistant (Special Needs)

SEN Teaching Assistants are needed in the Torquay area. Experience is desirable.As a teaching assistant with Hays, you will be provided with all the necessary information to ensure you are comfortable with the position you are in, with regular check-ins and ongoing support from experienced consultants. Your new role Working with small groups of students with varying additional learning needs and some aspects of challenging behaviour.Creating a safe and enjoyable learning environment for children.Assisting teachers as they implement their lesson plans.Working closely as part of a team of 1 teacher and other teaching assistants for support.Demonstrating high levels of patience and empathy when dealing with potentially challenging behaviour.What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this role, it is required that you possess at least 40 days of relevant experience over the course of the last 2 - 3 years. Some of the key attributes and skills needed for this role include enthusiasm, calmness, dedication, patience, and the ability to solve problems effectively when working under pressure.
