Finance Manager

Bloc Ventures is a fast-growing permanent venture capital company. Our founders came from the computer (ARM) and telecoms (Vodafone) industry, and we invest across deep-technology in those sectors.The RoleThe role is a hybrid of in-house portfolio management and reporting as well as being the finance lead to certain of Bloc's portfolio companies. The successful candidate will work on all of the finance functions in lead or assistant roles. The role includes but is not limited to:Working directly with founders, senior management, and board members of portfolio companiesBuilding, redesigning and maintaining PortCo's accounting systems and reportingWorking with PortCos to better analyse their lead funnel and sales pipeline Helping PortCos create appropriate KPIs to better manage the business and report to the boardRedesigning or updating PortCos's presentations and board packsAssisting or providing feedback on fundraise processesSetting up and managing Bloc’s monthly reporting cycle on portfolio company performance·      Qualifications and experienceCA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent1 - 3 years post qualified operational experience in a growth company within financeAdvanced knowledge of Excel and powerpointAn understanding of web-based accounting systems (ideally Xero)Problem solver with a willingness to continue to learn and adaptOtherHybrid work - 3 days in the office in EC1Right to work in the UK.
