Our client is a specialist flooring manufacturer, well-established, profitable and with a growing business. This small, professional yet friendly company is seeking an Operations Manager from a wide range of possible backgrounds - light manufacturing, food, textiles etc.Due to the growth of the company and as a consequence increased demands on the Directors, there is a need for a leadership presence at the headquarters in Eastnor. The role requires someone capable of improving operations who is an analytical and strategic thinker. A key feature of this central role is to manage the production and financial functions within the company which will include building and maintaining relations with suppliers as well as providing input into budgets and financial reporting.ResponsibilitiesDirect management of the production and financial departments.To forecast, plan for and monitor the cost effective ordering and delivery of materials and services to meet production schedules, sales orders and marketing launchesContribute to production planning and budgetingLead and monitor quality assessments to ensure customer satisfactionMaintain a safe production environmentCoordinate with key internal and external production stakeholdersQualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent vocational training / experience on the job5+ years of production / operations management experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong organizational and managerial skills
