Senior Estimator

• Analysing and compiling data to prepare accurate cost estimates for tenders
• Reviewing specifications and conducting detailed take-offs
• Communicating with internal teams and suppliers to gather necessary information
• Preparing comprehensive reports and presenting estimates to management
• Ensuring all estimates align with industry standards and company policies
• Collaborating with project managers and engineers to develop cost-effective solutions
• Reviewing and incorporating changes in project scope or design into estimates
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market trends, material costs, and supplier practices

• Experience in estimating within the gas mains and services replacement sector
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools
• Understanding of tender processes and financial documentation
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent communication and report writing abilities
• Ability to work effectively under deadlines and manage multiple projects
• Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in estimating or related fields
