In this position, the successful candidate will primarily work within the Electronics R&D team to develop and improve the range of services offered by the company. Experience in PCB design and layout is particularly valued as a critical component of this role. Benefits: The position comes with an attractive salary and offers the following benefits: * A very competitive salary dependant on experience and tailored to the individual * A culture promoting teamwork and empowering individuals to make a difference * A challenging role with on-the-job training as part of an expert team * Opportunities for further education * Optional overtime available * Competitive holiday package * Hybrid working options * Company pension contributions * Private healthcare and life insurance Key Responsibilities: The Electronic Engineer will be responsible for: * Designing electronics for surface and downhole tools, including analysis, schematic capture, and PCB layout and simulation * Developing hardware and software for testing and production * Planning, preparing, and conducting the qualification of new designs and technology * Generating engineering reports, operating, and build procedures * Maintaining clear documentation on design and test development * Supporting internal and external customers on technical queries * Assisting operations by working at client sites Required Knowledge & Experience: The ideal candidate should possess: * A degree qualification in Electronics Engineering * Proven experience with PCB design and layout * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities * Proficiency with standard computer applications Desirable Knowledge & Experience Additional experience in the following areas is advantageous: * Experience in the oil and gas sector * Expertise with high-temperature electronics * Analogue and low-power electronics design * Knowledge of hybrid or multi-chip modules * Software/firmware programming skills * Willingness to occasionally travel, potentially offshore Location The role is based in Dyce, Aberdeen
