Bench Fitter Toolmaker Paying up to £40,000 per annum Ripley, Derbyshire Days: Monday - Friday (early finish on a Friday!) PERMANENT ROLE Our client in Ripley is recruiting for a Bench Fitter Toolmaker on a permanent basis. This client specialises in a range of industries from oils and gas, subsea and marine and some aerospace. The role will involve fitting and assembling a variety of products from simple to complex hydraulic systems. The ideal candidate will be a skilled mechanical fitter with manual machining experience Job description: Bench Fitter Toolmaker Fitting, assembly and testing a wide variety of assemblies Machining and toolmaking The work will range from relatively straightforward tooling through to complex mechanical assemblies with hydraulic systems The size of projects will vary from items, which can be handled manually up to and including larger assemblies, which require specialised lifting and handling equipment. Working closely with the Project Engineering team, you will be responsible for meeting the customer requirements as defined by their specification and testing requirements. Maintaining a high level of housekeeping and organisation of the working area. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria: Bench Fitter Toolmaker Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings Skilled Bench fitter Confident fitting hydraulic systems Able to use hand, power and air tools Skilled in toolmaking disciplines Ideally be apprentice trained or time served Candidates must have manual machining experience in order to support the assembly and testing process.
