They are recruiting for a Service Engineer to join their team. In return for a salary in the region £28.000 - £32.000 along with excellent employment benefits. Established in 2001, our Client is the sole UK importer of an extensive range of print finishing and packaging machinery. Key Responsibilities include: * Onsite & Remote Support: Provide remote and onsite technical service support, including installation, maintenance, and repair of print finishing and packaging machinery. * Demonstrations & Training: Conduct machinery demonstrations and installations and deliver training to customers and partners, ensuring comprehensive knowledge transfer. * Fault Diagnosis & Repair: Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software faults with minimal downtime, using advanced troubleshooting techniques. * Customer Engagement: Build strong customer relationships, delivering a first-class service experience that fosters customer satisfaction and loyalty. * Technical Problem Solving: Engage in technical problem-solving across multiple technologies, including mechanical hardware, electrical systems, and software-based troubleshooting. * Parts Management: Effectively manage and control vehicle parts stock, ensuring maximum first-time fixes. * Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborating with overseas manufacturers and suppliers during site visits to understand and implement technical action plans. * Sales & Events Support: Assist the sales team with machine demonstrations at trade shows, customer events, and other promotional activities. Requirements: * * Relevant technical qualifications (mechanical/ electrical) and an understanding of the print or packaging sector will be preferred. * Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical faults. * Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics. * Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels. * Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. * Ability to tow a trailer and hold a clean driving licence. Desirable Requirements: * * Operational knowledge of print finishing and packaging machinery. * Experience with network-based remote support and software troubleshooting. * Proficiency in managing technical issues under pressure while maintaining a customer-first approach.
