The Opportunity: We’re seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sales Consultant to take on a National Business Development role within the lab consumables market. This is a pivotal position where your expertise will be key in driving growth, expanding our customer base, and solidifying partnerships with Academia, Pharma, and Biotech/Biopharma sectors. As a Senior Business Development Manager , your primary focus will be on identifying new opportunities, closing deals, and growing our market share through strategic sales execution. You will spearhead the UK & Ireland expansion our full product portfolio, targeting new customers and creating a robust pipeline to meet ambitious revenue goals. Why This Role? Lead high-level discussions, negotiate complex deals, and consistently exceed sales targets. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless onboarding and support for customers. Monitor market trends to proactively adapt sales strategies for optimum growth. What You’ll Bring: A degree in Life Sciences (BSc or higher), ensuring you have the technical knowledge to speak your clients’ language. A proven track record of 5–10+ years in new business sales or business development, with a customer-focused mindset. 4-5 years of consumables sales experience , particularly in Academia, Pharma, and Biotech/Biopharma markets. A hunter mentality , with a strong history of winning new business, hitting, and surpassing ambitious sales targets. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust quickly.
