Job Title: Production Operative – Day Shift Location: Vitacress Salads, St Mary Bourne, Andover Contract Type: Permanent Hours: Full-time, 48 hours, 4 Days On / 4 Days Off – 6am – 6pm Salary Range: From £24,781.12 To £32,043.83 Are you an organised, flexible and a reliable individual looking for a new challenge? If you are keen to learn, have great attention to detail, have good physical stamina, and a passion for fresh produce, why not take your first steps in developing your career with us at Vitacress Salads. You may already have factory, manufacturing, or warehouse experience, and this gives you the starting blocks to be an ideal candidate, but don’t worry no experience is needed and full training will be provided. Our salad leaves are at their best when kept cool, so average temperatures of our factory are around 5°C. To help within this cooler environment, we supply company PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to keep you warm, we supply free hot drinks, and we have a great canteen to fuel up on your breaks. Factory Operative - £24,781.12 Annual Salary Responsible for effectively feeding raw material, crates, pack lines, bowls, and finished goods, and support other production line personnel in achieving targeted output. Service Operative - £26,434.59 Annual Salary Responsible for managing stock, maintaining traceability, and controlling movement of raw materials. Intake Operative - £29,029.91 Annual Salary Responsible for the loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring all health and Safety standards are being met and adhered do. Food safety-Accurately booking in raw material to maintain all traceability. Despatch Operative - £29,029.91 Annual Salary Responsible for picking and preparing customer orders. Scanning of products and configuration of customer orders onto internal software. Transporting orders from the factory to the vehicles using PPT (Pallet Powered Truck) Machine Operative - £32,043.83 Annual Salary Responsible for ensuring that machines run safely at the optimum efficiency, whilst ensuring the machine is kept clean and tidy and specifications are adhered to, minimising waste where possible and conduct basic mechanical duties. All candidates will go through an assessment when applying for our factory roles. This will consist of a face-to-face interview, some team-based activities and an ESOL test (English Language Assessment). Finally, we will give you a factory tour, this will give you the opportunity to see first-hand what Vitacress has to offer.
