Risk & Controls Officer

Headquartered in London, the company specializes in energy commodities trading, including natural gas and LNG. This role is central to overseeing Independent Price Verification (IPV), valuations, P&L management, and exposures management for the Natural Gas or LNG desk. The position offers the flexibility of working two days from home per week, promoting a balanced work environment. Valuations: Conduct detailed valuations of trading positions, focusing on natural gas or LNG, to support precise financial reporting. Exposures Management: Monitor and manage exposures related to natural gas or LNG trading activities, assessing and mitigating associated risks. Engage with traders, risk managers, and finance teams to ensure alignment on valuation methodologies and financial reporting. Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls regarding financial reporting and risk management. Excellent analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret complex trading data and deliver actionable insights. Attention to Detail: High level of precision and attention to detail in financial reporting and data analysis. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with financial regulations and internal controls related to energy trading and financial reporting. Hybrid working: Must have the ability to work in London at least 3 days per week.
