Day Operative

I am looking for a Warehouse Operative to work a day shift for my client based in Charlton. They are looking for someone who is able to commit to Monday to Friday then every other Saturday. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a Quarry or Wharf. Warehouse Operative Duties: Load materials on to - Lorry's Processing plant and on site ready-mix plant carry out general house keeping duties, all to be completed to a high standard whilst adhering to all Health , Safety and Environmental procedures and polices. To operate static and mobile plant in a safe and efficient manner To maintain where required mobile plant in a good order physically with re-fuelling, greasing, cleaning in accordance with the manufacturers and Client's recommendations. To complete daily inspections on Checkproof of the conditions of static & mobile plant. To report problems or defects of static & mobile plant on Checkproof also Deputy manager. To complete near miss/ Hazard alert reports as required by Site Management. To operate plant & machinery in an energy efficient manner. Requirements: To hold NVQ level 2 in mobile plant Able to work as part of a team, and get involved with tasks and be self-motivated not always rely on being given tasks by management, Good understanding of Health and Safety, Lock of and Isolation desirable Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. To have a Loading Shovel Ticket (Essential) Monday to Friday 6:30am-4pm Every other Saturday 6:30am-11am £35,000-£36,000 depending on experience To apply for this HGV Class 2 Driver position, please send an up-to-date CV or call us.
