Housing Manager required by a Housing Association to cover a period of maternity leave

Your new company
The services of Hays have been retained by our client, an established Housing Association based in Belfast, to recruit a Housing Manager on a temporary contract basis to cover a period of maternity leave. The organisation offers hybrid working, and you will be based in the client's office X3 days per week.
Your new role
You will manage the day-to-day operations of the Housing Team, ensuring the provision of a high quality, customer-focused range of services. This will include:Ensuring that high quality and cost-effective services are delivered in the Housing Department in accordance with the Association's policies, procedures, systems and standards.Identifying and researching opportunities for added value and improvement in service and quality.Implementing quality and best practise standards at a local level to encourage and enable continuous improvement.Ensuring achievement of customer satisfaction in the delivery of services.Measuring customer satisfaction through the distribution and collation of results from tenant satisfaction surveys, preparing and delivering on action plans to address underperformance.Analysing and presenting statistical information on an ongoing basis to demonstrate the achievement of objectives and performance indicators.Reporting on and maintaining records of performance in allocations, transfers, rent arrears (current and past), voids, anti-social behaviour, write-offs, court actions, abandonments, evictions, tenancy fraud, community development & tenant participation.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must possess:A minimum of 3 years social housing experience including a proven track record of meeting operational targets in relation to Housing management, e.g. arrears, allocations, voids, ASB.A minimum of 2 years staff management experience with a proven track record for motivating your team to achieve goals/objectives.A good understanding of the role and responsibilities of a Housing Manager and of the work undertaken by a Housing Association.Experience of complaint management.Computer Literacy: A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
