The role: You will be working within a team, carrying out PPM’s and maintenance on a range of production machinery. * To provide breakdown service to the production areas to ensure safety, quality and productivity targets are met. * To carry out a programme of planned maintenance on plant / production machinery, ensuring that they are available for production in a safe and efficient condition. * To support the Engineering Supervisor with the continual development and improvement of the facilities and services available to the business. * To work proactively, identify and act upon any sub standard areas. * Investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on plant and machinery. * Work to planned preventative maintenance schedule. * Complete elements of commissioning on plant and equipment. * Work with sub-contractors to improve working knowledge of plant and equipment. * Investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on plant and machinery. * Work to planned preventative maintenance schedule. * Complete elements of commissioning on plant and equipment. * Ensure that ‘general’ building/facilities maintenance is carried out. * Work with sub-contractors to improve working knowledge of plant and equipment. * Support the introduction of new machinery and products. * Work closely with other internal departments. * Investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on plant and machinery. * Work to planned preventative maintenance schedule. * Complete elements of commissioning on plant and equipment. * Work with sub-contractors to improve working knowledge of plant and equipment. The Person: * Completion of an engineering apprenticeship and/or HNC level or above in a engineering-related subject; or equivalent experience within a relevant engineering role * Experience of working within a manufacturing environment. * You will be multi-skilled, with the ability to fault-find and repair both mechanical and electrical fields. * Experience across a variety of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. * Ability to perform both proactive & reactive maintenance duties using a scheduled maintenance system. * IOSH working safely / managing safely is desirable but not essential. * Ideally, you will have PLC experience – specifically, Siemens S7 / Mitsubishi. * Ability to read, understand, generate technical, electrical and P&I drawings.
