Tunnel Engineer

This position will suit those will prior expertise in tunnelling design and give them an opportunity to work on challenging and high-profile UK and international projects. Whether your experience is more geotechnical or structural based, this is a great opportunity to bridge the gap and expand your expertise with one of the market’s leading specialists.
Role and Responsibilities
Carry out tunnel, shaft and structural designs in cooperation with senior staff. This will include:
- Assessment of geotechnical conditions and evaluation of GI data
- Development of permanent and temporary support measures
- Development of excavation and support, and construction sequences
- Ground-structure interaction analyses and structural analyses
- Development of structural design including reinforcement arrangements and
- details
- Review of drawings produced by CAD personnel
Requirements
- Strong academic background with postgraduate qualifications in civil or structural engineering
- Several years of prior tunnelling and/or underground space design experience
- Must hold a current right to work in the UK
Salary & Benefits
- £39,000 - £47,000
- 25 days annual leave
