- Permanent role - report into supportive Head of Risk and Compliance
- Manage small motivated team of 3 people
- West Midlands UK - 2 days per week in the office
OVERVIEW:
Reporting directly into Head of Risk and Compliance. A salary range of GBP £50K - £55K + DISCRETIONARY BONUS is on offer for this permanent position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the implementation and oversight of compliance strategies, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance risk management frameworks, safeguarding the integrity of our operations.
- Champion a culture of compliance and risk awareness, driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
- Offering comprehensive guidance on compliance matters to key stakeholders and promptly escalating significant compliance concerns to the Head of Risk & Compliance upon discovery.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated expertise in compliance and a strong understanding of insurance industry regulations. Happy to consider broader industries such as life insurance, pensions, etc.
- Proven experience handling day to day operational compliance activities such as complaints handling, understanding FCA regulations, handbooks, financial crime, conflicts of interests, signing off on marketing materials, managing breaches, etc.
- Proven leadership experience at some point in your career.
