Annual Salary:£50,711+ overtime - Yearly earnings in the region of £60,000
Overtime Monday - Saturday paid at £29.74 per hour
OvertimeSundays & Bank holidays paid at £39.96 per hour
If you work a bank holiday, you will be given an extra days holiday in lieu
Job description:
Are you an experienced HGV Technician? My client is a well-established service & maintenance workshop facility that specialises in heavy commercial vehicles.
At this time, they have an opening for an HGV Technician to join them to work on aMonday -Friday Early / Day shift rotation
The HGV Technician will be responsible for the ongoing inspection, service, maintenance and repair on a wide range of commercial vehicles ranging from 7.5t trucks to tractor units and everything in between.
HGV TechnicianDaily duties:
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify any works that need undertaking
- Complete all required works identified in the initial inspection
- Ensure all pre-planned maintenance is undertakenin a timely manner
- Undertake MOT inspections along with preparations.
- Present fully prepared vehicles for their MOT test if you hold a heavy vehicle driving licence, those that don't have the required licence will be given driver training after a qualifying period
- Maintain a recording monitoring system to comply with legal and company requirements
- Promote safe working practices and ensure that site Health & Safety standards comply with Company Policy
Working Days / Hours / Rates:
This role is available on rotating Early / Late shift
06:00 - 15:30 on the Early Shift
10:30 - 20:00 on the later shift
Basic hourly rate of £18.46 per hour giving a basic annual salary of £44,928. With the basic salary, overtime and annual bonus, you can expect to earn in excess of £55,000 per year.
What we need from you:
- Completed an HGV Technicianapprenticeship
- Your own tools
- Full UK driving license
- Class 1 license would be beneficial but isnt essential for this role
