Job Description Children Education and Justice Services Handy Person Benmore Outdoor Centre - Dunoon Salary: £23,651 - £23,857 (pro rata)Hours: Casual Benmore Outdoor Centre located in Dunoon are recruiting a casual Handy Persons to perform cleaning, caretaking and maintenance duties at Benmore Outdoor Centre, our associated properties and outbuildings and grounds. Tradesperson, janitorial or care taker background would be advantageous. A similar skillset or relevant experience are welcomed. An understanding of workplace of health and safety is important as is a willingness and ability to safely carry out routine maintenance and tackle a range of practical tasks. The ideal candidate will be manually skilled, service focused and able to work on their own initiative. We are seeking a hard working handy person, with integrity and a flexible approach to shifts and duties. Shifts offered will include weekends and overnights to support the letting of Benmore. A D1 licence to drive minibuses would be beneficial but this is not a requirement of the role. This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
